Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Designer with at least 3 years of experience to support the growth and expansion of our business. The position would start as a 'Mechanical Engineer/Designer' and potentially progress over time to 'Project Manager' or 'Project Engineer.'

Responsibilities

+ Design HVAC and Plumbing systems, including load calculations, air and piping distribution and sizing, and equipment selection.

+ Prepare design layouts and schematics for commercial and industrial mechanical systems based on specific design objectives.

+ Perform field work for design investigation and construction observation.

+ Review designs and correspond with clients, colleagues, owners, and contractors.

+ Collaborate with all disciplines to achieve completed coordinated designs and review the work of others.

+ Conduct on-site investigations to confirm existing conditions.

+ Develop familiarity with current mechanical codes and standards.

+ Form relationships with personnel from other disciplines and manufacturing sales representatives.

+ Prepare general and mechanical specifications.

Essential Skills

+ Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

+ 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer/Designer or Electrical Engineer/Designer for building systems.

+ Experience producing construction documents for commercial building projects or retail projects.

+ Knowledge of engineering calculations.

+ Proficiency in Revit MEP, Revit, and AutoCAD.

+ Experience in MEP design and engineering.

+ Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and building design.

+ Familiarity with commercial construction practices.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.87/hr.
