Job Title: Lab Technician Pay: $18/hr
Job Description
As a Lab Technician, you will perform laboratory tests using both conventional and computerized equipment. Your tasks will include preparing and painting panels, conducting laboratory work and tests according to prescribed standards, and determining chemical and physical characteristics or compositions. You will set up, readjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments, formulate paints, and carry out documentation and data analysis.
Responsibilities
+ Perform routine laboratory work and tests following prescribed standards.
+ Determine chemical and physical characteristics or compositions.
+ Set up, readjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
+ Formulate paints and conduct documentation and data analysis.
+ Run physical tests on paints, including wet chemistry tests like viscosity, pH, and titrations.
+ Pour and mix paints efficiently.
+ Collaborate within a larger team.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in laboratory work, particularly in wet chemistry and titration.
+ Proficiency in basic lab quality check techniques and quality control.
+ Knowledge of GMP standards.
+ Basic understanding of chemistry and coatings.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Background in coatings is highly preferred.
+ Coursework in Organic Chemistry is a plus.
+ Attention to detail and professionalism.
+ Basic lab knowledge and ability to perform basic lab tests.
Work Environment
The position operates within a laboratory setting with a Monday to Friday schedule from 7 AM to 4 PM, with no weekend work. You may occasionally need to lift paint buckets weighing up to 50 lbs. The role offers opportunities to collaborate with experienced chemists and provides room for career growth into positions such as Chemist I, Chemist II, Chemist III, and Lab Manager.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
