    Job Title: Controls Engineer

    Job Description

    As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing automation control systems based on customer specifications. You will develop electrical drawings and program automation and control systems involving PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, and vision systems. You will also design and debug Data Acquisition systems (SCADA), troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and develop a bill of materials for control systems. You will provide installation support to electricians, perform electrical controls debugging, and offer launch and standby support.

    Responsibilities

    + Design automation control systems from customer specifications.

    + Develop electrical drawings.

    + Program automation and control systems including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, and vision systems.

    + Design and debug Data Acquisition systems (SCADA).

    + Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.

    + Develop bill of materials for control systems.

    + Provide installation support to electricians.

    + Perform electrical controls debugging.

    + Offer launch and standby support.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s or Technical degree or certificate in a controls related field.

    + Ability to read, revise, and create logic, HMI/SCADA programs, and VFD parameters.

    + Proficient in programming HMI/SCADA systems (Factory Talk, Ignition, and Cimplicity).

    + Ability to program from scratch using Rockwell software.

    + Experience with ControlLogix / PLC5 / SLC500.

    + Proficiency in Studio 5000, RSLogix 5, 500, 5000.

    + Experience programming VFDs (Powerflex 525, 755).

    + Experience with PanelBuilder PDS, 1400e, 32.

    + Ability to work in a small, niche team with tenured employees.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
