    Software QA Test Engineer - Boston, MA

     

    Actalent is hiring an SQA Test opening. This role is heavily favoring someone with experience in Manual testing that would get more into automation. Automation experience preferably in Python or Bash is preferred. This role will be 85% Manual and 15% Automation.

    Description

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + 1-5 years of experience in software and physical device testing.

    + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

    + Proficient in software testing methodologies, including test plan and test case development.

    + Familiarity with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira) and test case management systems (e.g., TestRail).

    + Practical experience with Linux environment.

    + Agile Environment

    + Some scripting or programming, such as Python or bash

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Execute test plans and test cases on both simulated and physical robotics systems.

    + Identify, document, and track defects in Jira.

    + Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot issues.

    + Conduct release testing before new features are delivered to production.

    + Utilize scripting or programming languages to automate tests and enhance testing efficiency.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
