Compensation Range

Hourly: $16.45 - $19.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

As part of the Consumer Loan Servicing team, you’ll provide back office operations support for a variety of specialty lending products. Consumer Loan Servicing Representatives remove roadblocks and complete operational tasks that allow Commerce to meet the customer’s lending needs. Operational tasks performed by Consumer Loan Servicing Representatives include loan document preparation, loan processing, booking, and research. If you are a detail oriented person with the ability to work quickly and accurately, this is the team for you!

Essential Functions

+ Assist in processing daily macro’s

+ Ensure compliance with department policies and regulations while accuracy and production goals are maintained

+ Provide exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers

+ Daily proficient use of loan servicing systems; for example, Shaw, Encompass, Origenate, Temenos, etc.

+ Perform other duties as assigned

Document Preparation:

+ Prepare all loan documentation for private banking including lines of credit and various loan products

+ Assist all Commerce Branch staff in preparing all multi-collateral loan documentation

New Account Booking:

+ Assist with booking all direct non real-estate Loans same day and ensure all loans are processed accurately

+ Assist in booking all direct home equity loans and lines the same day and ensure all loans are processed accurately

+ Assist in manually booking all private banking loans and lines and ensure all loans are processed accurately

+ Identify loans that failed to book and manually book loans in the appropriate system

Non-Real/Real Estate Collateral:

+ Responsible for the execution, verification of lien perfection for all direct and indirect loans as well as completeness

+ Make necessary corrections to the loan system related to the collateral used for the loan

Paid Loans:

+ Research and prepare lien releases for home equity loans and home equity lines of credit and send all documents to be recorded at the appropriate municipality

+ Research and prepare lien releases for all direct non-real estate and indirect loans

+ Prepare and mail collateral (vehicle titles, CD's, stock) letters and loan documentation to customers

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

+ Ability to learn or basic knowledge of the loan servicing field

+ Excellent customer service skills and ability to research answers and solutions

+ Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality

+ Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

+ Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

+ Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

+ Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Education & Experience

+ High School Diploma required, Associate’s degree in Business Administration preferred

+ 1+ year loan servicing experience preferred

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $16.45 to $ 19.00 per hour .
