    Job Title: Machine Tool Builder

    Job Description

    The Machine Tool Builder will be responsible for the construction of custom portable CNC machines, ensuring high quality and precision throughout the process.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure the quality of work by utilizing inspection and quality assurance techniques.

    + Analyze assembly drawings, schematics, and specifications to build accordingly.

    + Align parts for bolt, press, thread, and slip assembly, understanding the requirements of each technique.

    + Understand and assemble systems like dovetail and gib, square-way, and linear ball alignment systems.

    + Proficiently troubleshoot fit or function issues with precision or tight tolerance components.

    + Perform electromechanical assembly functions such as soldering and cable assembly.

    + Work closely with engineering to test, diagnose, and resolve assembly and repair problems.

    + Remove high spots and profile errors to improve the feel, motion, and cosmetics of assemblies.

    + Operate precision measuring tools to verify alignment and tolerances of moving parts.

    + Manufacture or rework complex parts using a manual lathe, manual mill, and other machine tools.

    + Follow engineering machine drawings, print dimensioning, tolerancing, and GD&T.

    + Assemble, set up, and operate machines to verify function and conformance to specifications.

    + Adhere to production schedules and work orders to determine assembly requirements.

    + Execute lifts and rotations safely using overhead cranes.

    + Pick and load large materials using various types of forklifts safely.

    + Understand and follow Lean principles; participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical aptitude

    + Blueprint reading

    + Experience with power tools and hand tools

    + Industrial shop experience

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Basic knowledge of machining, welding, and hydraulic systems

    + Control panel wiring (nice to have)

    This is a Permanent position based out of Newberg, Oregon.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $70720.00/yr.

     

    fully paid for benefits, medical, dental, vision and PTO. plus potential for education reimbursement.

     

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in Newberg,OR.
