    Description

    The desired candidate needs to be able to manage all aspects of a Tool and Die Room; from required manpower in the shop to understanding repairs that might need to be done to a set of dies to get them ready for the press line. The candidate must be able to determine the needed timing for preparing the dies for a production line. The candidate must also understand how to "spot" a die in a tryout press and set shunt height. This person will also need to understand how to schedule the launching of new insourced jobs to a press line with minimal impact to current production. Also this person will need to be flexible in regards to work hours, in early as needed when new dies arrive, and also over when launching dies in a press line.

    Experience Required: Minimum of five years managing a tool and die shop.

    Experience Required: Has worked as a salary Tool and Die Manager in a union shop.

    Education Required: Highschool education or GED.

    Skills Preferred: Tool and Die Journeyman.

    Skills Preferred: Experience managing a tool and die shop.

    The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $37.00/hr.
