    Pay: $18/hr

    Job Description

    We are seeking dedicated Material Handlers to join our team, with openings on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. These roles will begin in either the sheet metal bay or the bar bay, based on current operational needs. The 2nd shift runs from 3 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, requiring 52-55 hours weekly. The 3rd shift operates from 11 PM to 7:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday, with a commitment of 45-50 hours weekly. Initial training includes 2-3 weeks of classroom-based learning followed by 3-4 weeks of hands-on experience, covering certifications for forklifts and overhead cranes. Material Handlers will primarily engage in order selection, material sorting, truck loading, and banding various metals. This is not solely a forklift role; lifting up to 55 lbs independently is required, with team lift or forklift assistance for heavier items.

    Responsibilities

    + Select orders using high reach/side loader forklifts and sit-down forklifts.

    + Sort and band materials once picked.

    + Operate overhead cranes as needed.

    + Load trucks and maneuver materials.

    + Lift up to 55 pounds independently.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in operating sit-down forklifts.

    + Experience with overhead cranes.

    + Order selection and material handling.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with stand-up/side loader forklifts.

    + Skills in metal working, deburring, grinding, and metal grinding.

    + Accountability and safety awareness.

    + Willingness to learn and help others.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
