    Job Title: Warehouse Night Shift Operator

    Job Description

    The Warehouse Night Shift Operator will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stocking, and counting merchandise. This role requires a high level of production goals to be met each hour, given the short lead time for materials needed on the production floor.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment safely and efficiently.

    + Spend 50% of shift on forklift operations and 50% on walking, cleaning, and material handling by hand.

    + Verify forklift certifications through references.

    + Utilize warehouse management systems and work in distribution settings.

    + Perform quality inspection and maintain inventory control using RF scan guns.

    + Engage in packaging, production, and shipping & receiving tasks.

    + Conduct cycle counts and manage warehouse inventory.

    + Perform order entry, picking, packing, and order processing.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 3 years of forklift operation experience.

    + Experience with stand-up forklifts and electric powered equipment.

    + Knowledge of warehouse management systems.

    + Proficiency in quality control and inventory management.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with repetitive tasks, preferably in packing products.

    + Ability to lift 40 lbs unassisted.

    + Understanding of production metrics and standards.

    + Experience in distribution with some mobile equipment experience.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a state-of-the-art facility in Colonial Heights, including a packaging operation, warehouse, and training center. It is climate-controlled, with a locker room and canteen/breakroom with food and drink machines. Candidates will work a 3,2,2,3 schedule in a 24/7 operation, with smaller aisles requiring careful navigation.

    This is a Contract position based out of Colonial Heights, Virginia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.74 - $21.74/hr.
