    PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Hours of Operation - 8AM – 4PM (Monday through Friday)

     

    Salary Range - $45,000 to $50,000 Annually (Based on Experience) / Exempt Position

     

    Location - On-Site / Jersey City, NJ

     

    Industry – Medical Device / Pharma – 3+ Years

    The Production Technician senior performs daily production activities in an ISO regulated clean room. Production Technician senior produces products for the consumer market. They assemble components by hand, add finishing touches to components, and perform in-process quality checks on machine-produced parts. They will perform basic scheduled maintenance on the production equipment and will troubleshoot if necessary and will assist with the packaging of materials and finished products.

    Responsibilities:

    + Completes necessary manufacturing records legibly and accurately.

    + Completes necessary filling documentation (production manufacturing records) and associate batch record transactions to ensure all components meet requirements pertaining to lot numbers, expiration dates, intermediates, reconciliations, etc.

    + Cleans work area and decontaminates work surfaces in accordance with defined procedures and performs duties in accordance with sops, and all safety regulatory requirements.

    + Communicates and interfaces directly with internal groups to ensure that laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration are completed as scheduled.

    + Uses basic laboratory equipment (scale) to complete manufacturing and filling activities.

    + Mechanical - knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and basic maintenance.

    + Individual is skilled in the operation of all automatic and semi-automatic filling and pouching equipment.

    + Equipment maintenance - performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed and troubleshooting during breakdown.

    + Individual will assist in training of staff on processes and procedures.

    + Keeps Production Manager informed of product and production schedule status, particularly of significant observations and potential production delays and non-conformities.

    + Assists with the preparation of finished kits for gamma sterilization.

    + Assists with warehouse tasks, as needed.

    + Knowledge of Program Logic experience a plus.

    Skills required:

    + Good Documentation Practices a must

    + Knowledge of Microsoft office tools (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel)
