Job Title: Press Brake Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating press brake machines to bend and shape metal components according to specifications. You may occasionally assist in other departments if there is no work for the press brake machine. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our production quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate state-of-the-art multi-axis hydraulic press brakes.

+ Work in a job shop environment with a mix of simple to complex, short and long run jobs.

+ Perform close tolerance work.

+ Require some heavy lifting as necessary.

Essential Skills

+ Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role in metal fabrication.

+ Ability to set up and operate multi-axis hydraulic press brakes.

+ Ability to set up with minimal supervision from shop drawings.

+ Ability to interpret drawings and create forming sequences.

+ Proficient in general shop math.

+ Ability to inspect own work and use inspection tools.

+ Good organizational and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with CNC and punch press operations.

+ Familiarity with calipers and hand tools.

Work Environment

Work in a machine shop environment that is organized and clean. Expect to get your hands dirty while working in warm conditions during summer, as there is no air conditioning. Full-time first shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sharon, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
