    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with programming ability to join our team. This role involves operating numerically controlled machine tools and performing complex machining operations to meet close and exacting tolerance and finish specifications. The successful candidate will check parts for conformance, possibly run multiple units simultaneously, and handle CNC 3-axis programming of a vertical mill. Additional tasks include setting up and operating CNC Vertical Mills, understanding Fanuc and G&M codes, performing quality checks, and making necessary machine offsets. Reading and understanding part designs and having a functional familiarity with CAD is essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate numerically controlled machine tools.

    + Perform complex machining operations on diverse work lines to meet specifications.

    + Check parts for conformance to specifications.

    + Run more than one unit simultaneously, if necessary.

    + Program CNC 3-axis vertical mills.

    + Set up and operate CNC Vertical Mills.

    + Understand and apply Fanuc and G&M codes.

    + Perform quality checks and make necessary machine offsets.

    + Read and understand part designs.

    + Maintain functional familiarity with CAD.

    Essential Skills

    + High School Diploma.

    + 3 years of direct hands-on experience with CNC Vertical Mills.

    + 3 years of experience in tool changes, edits of G&M codes, offsets, and blueprint reading.

    + Programming experience with WorkNC CAM or RTM/Lemoine CAM Software.

    + Experience with any CAD/CAM software is sufficient to be offered the role.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Fidia, Heidenhain, or Fanuc machine controls is a plus.

    + 3+2 5-axis machining experience is advantageous.

    + Experience in injection mold core/cavity/component and/or model machining.

    + Experience in injection mold 2D plate machining and 2D component machining.

    This position is a direct hire with good benefits. You have the opportunity for optional Sunday overtime at double time, working 56 hours per week from Monday to Saturday.

     

    Work Environment

     

    Our facility includes two mold build shops and one production shop on campus, set in a warehouse and manufacturing environment. We provide eye and ear protection as needed, and close-toed shoes are mandatory at all times. The second shift has a smaller group size of about 12 individuals.

    This is a direct-hire position based out of Auburn Hills, Michigan.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $52000.00/yr.

     

    Under the US Farathane benefits package; multiple plans to choose from for health, dental and vision. Yearly reviews.

     

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in AUBURN HILLS,MI.
