EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 79,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated full time Administrative Coordinator to join the Nassau Treatment Alternatives for Safer Communities Program.
+ Wage:$23 per hour
+ Schedule:Monday- Friday: 9AM-5PM
+ Location:175 Fulton Ave - 4th Floor, Hempstead NY
+ Reports to:Program Supervisor
What drives the core purpose of this job:
The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for assisting in coordinating program operations for the Long Island TASC program.
What are the key Responsibilities:
+ Assist:Provide assistance to the Senior Director and Supervisor in coordinating daily operations of the program. You'll be answering and directing calls, and providing receptionist support at the program office.
+ Oversee:You'll oversee office supplies, maintain equipment inventory and perform administrative duties that include but are not limited to handling petty cash and metro card disbursements, and reconciliation and bank deposits, handling a lot of data entry and overseeing the client intake schedule. You'll assist in toxicology collection and testing and oversee the drug testing log to ensure that drug tests are recorded & following the completion of client's drug tests, you'll arrange for lab vendor pickups, and monitor results from the lab.
+ Report:You'll be responsible for reporting any problems, issues, or concerns dealing with the client's treatment progress to the Supervisor or the assigned Case Manager. You'll be tasked with collecting, reviewing, and inputting client admissions, rejections and pending cases into databases and assist in compiling monthly reports.
What key knowledge, skills, and abilities are required to excel in this role:
+ High School Diploma or educational equivalent is required.
+ Relevant office experience including general office work, typing, reception assistance, data entry, and strong computer skills are required.
+ Work experience in human services or alcohol/substance abuse programs preferred. Must have a pleasant phone manner and very strong communication skills both oral and written. Must be able to demonstrate professionalism and cooperate with treatment providers and court personnel.
