    Compensation Overview

     

    The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

     

    Salary Range

     

    $135,700.00 - $223,900.00

    In this role you will be a part of the future strategy practice within Enterprise Innovation team. As Director of Innovation you will drive strategic initiatives, explore emerging trends, and shape the future of our business. This leader will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing strategic perspectives, and fostering a culture of innovation in a fast-paced environment with many unknowns. The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, storytelling, communication, and research capabilities, along with experience in strategy, consulting, and the P&C insurance industry (3-5 years).

    What Will You Do?

    Strategic Innovation & Thought Leadership

    + Explore, build, and articulate perspectives on future trends, leveraging methodologies such as **Clues & Hunches, Future Scenarios & Implications, and Objectives & Key Results (OKRs).**

    + Lead market assessments and create **white papers, research reports, and strategic viewpoints** on industry shifts and innovation opportunities.

    + Define goals and assess innovation velocity, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives.

    + Develop and communicate compelling narratives around innovation, utilizing **storytelling techniques** to engage key stakeholders.

    Research, Ideation & Experimentation

    + Conduct and manage **trend research, insights gathering, and competitive analysis** to support business and product leaders in decision-making.

    + Lead **future trend and ideation sessions** , consolidating insights from **executives, management committees, Subject Matter Expert, and industry partners.**

    Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

    + Facilitate discussions and drive alignment among **senior executives, business leaders, and cross-functional teams** on emerging trends and strategic bets.

    + Present research findings and recommendations in a way that influences decision-making at the highest levels of the organization.

    + Lead internal training, workshops, and coaching sessions to embed innovation practices and methodologies within teams.

     

    What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

     

    + **MBA or Master's degree** in a relevant field.

    + **7+ years of experience** in strategy, innovation, or consulting.

    + Expertise in **design thinking, lean startup, agile, Jobs-to-Be-Done (JTBD), Outcome-Driven Innovation (ODI),** and other innovation methodologies.

    + Experience leading teams and driving cross-functional initiatives in a corporate setting.

    + Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization.

    • **What is a Must Have?**

    + **Bachelor's degree** in business, marketing, economics, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.

    + **5+ years of experience** in strategy consulting, innovation, market research, product management, or related fields.

    + **3+ years of experience** in the **P&C insurance industry** with a strong understanding of industry dynamics, financials, and products.

    + Proven experience in **creating narratives, storytelling, and communication strategies** to drive innovation and influence stakeholders.

    + Ability to **thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment** and adapt to changing business needs.
