In collaboration with the trauma program manager, the RN Trauma Program Specialist is responsible for performing key elements of the trauma program including evaluation of patient care, clinical and operational performance improvement activities, development and refinement of evidence-based guidelines, and trauma education to support regulatory compliance and optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
+ Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN), required
+ Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN), preferred
+ 3 years recent hospital experience
+ 1 year in a critical care area (ICU or Emergency Department)
+ Basic computer skills
+ Membership to a related professional organization preferred (Society of Trauma Nurses, Emergency Nurses Association, American Association of Critical Care Nurses), preferred
+ Current state RN license for applicable state of employment
+ BLS from American Heart Association, required
+ TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) required within 6 months of hire/transfer
