**Deephaven Woods Senior Living** is located in the heart of Deephaven, MN just two blocks west of Highway 101 and near Highways 7, 12 and 494 within minutes of Wayzata and Minnetonka. We offer Independent/Assisted Living, Memory Care and Enhanced Assisted Living for a total of 78 units. We are looking for a **Resident Assistant** whom would provide personal cares to improve and/or maintain the senior assisted living/memory care residents’ physical and emotional well-being for our busy senior living in Deephaven, MN. Ebenezer provides medication passing training upon hire for this role.

This caregiver schedule includes;

+ 15 hours per two weeks

+ evening shift

+ every other weekend (saturday/sunday) rotation and rotating holiday

Responsibilities

+ Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to:

+ Bathing/showering

+ Foot and fingernail care

+ Shaving

+ Dressing

+ Assistance with use of hearing aids and/or glasses

+ Hair care

+ Feeding

+ Toileting

+ Escorts

+ 1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical lift

+ Provides health-related services as directed: Assists with treatments per individualized care plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse. (includes blood glucose monitoring)

+ Administers medication or assists with this under the direction of the Registered Nurse (includes insulin injections). Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration under the direction of the Registered Nurse

+ Observes tenants/residents and reports status to appropriate staff.

+ Notifies appropriate staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions such as change in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, change in weight.

+ Serves as a mandated reporter and reports any concerns regarding potential mistreatment

+ Offers pertinent observations and input.

+ Responds appropriately to resident and building emergencies.

Required Qualifications

+ GED or High School Diploma

+ less than 1 year experience

+ Satisfy the Minnesota Home Care licensure qualification, training, and competency for unlicensed staff found in Statue 144A.4795 subd. 3

Preferred Qualifications

+ 1-3 years experience

Ebenezer offers a robust compensation package with benefits and hourly wages ranging from $21.32 - $29.57 / Hour. Wage determinations will be based on similar experience.
