Job Description
The Director II Business Development US Exports will lead and organize the international export opportunities from Platforms and Services business units with a specific focus on maturing probability of award through engagement with the US government security infrastructure (i.e. USASAC, Department of State, NSC). The selected candidate will bring significant experience developing and maturing FMS and DCS export opportunities through close collaboration with US government stakeholders. This role will work closely with our international market creation teams and international opportunities capture teams to mature pursuits and ensure necessary focus is placed on the advocacy from USG for export opportunities. While this role will be based within our Combat Mission Systems business unit reporting to the VP/GM of International with CMS, it will support opportunities across the sector and maintain a close alignment with the VP of Business Development and Strategy for P&S.
The P&S sector comprises 6 business units ranging from combat vehicles to weapons systems, personal protection systems, and ordinance and propellants. The sector is part of BAE Systems INC and employs 13,000 people with annual revenue of $5B.
Responsibilities:
+ Advise and lead sector business units on strategies and actions to mature export opportunities with a specific focus on engagements with the US government security organizations responsible for foreign defense sales
+ Lead and support stakeholder management across opportunities
+ Personally drive engagement with COCOMs, USASAC, and DASA-DEC with Government Relations Team
+ Advise and lead opportunities on various routes to market (FMS/DCS and alternative contracting/partnering strategies)
+ Ensure quality of capture process for international opportunities
+ Collaborate with business units and capture teams to drive Pgo and Pwin
+ Establish and maintain a wide range of USG export stakeholder relationships
+ Support the broad range of internal business reviews relevant to this role
+ Establish and maintain transparent working relationship with the P&S lines of Business for International Opportunities
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
+ Ability to travel internationally regularly
+ Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience
+ Experience in Business Development/Capture Management/Market Creation/Sales within International Markets in Defense
+ Experience in US Export Regulatory Compliance
+ Experience leading and capturing export opportunities through FMS and DCS
+ Experience engaging and shaping the diverse stakeholders of the US government security organizations responsible for export opportunities
+ Ability to effectively communicate and partner with internal and external stakeholders
+ Strong communication skills
+ Strong diplomatic skills

+ Active Secret Security Clearance
+ Masters Degree
+ Professional Certification
+ Expertise in US Export Compliance and FMS
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $169630 - $288370

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
