• Aeronautical Systems Engineer

    ManTech (Lothian, MD)


    ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Aeronautical Systems Engineer** to join our team in **Lexington Park, MD** . This is a **hybrid** role that will allow 2-3 days a week of remote work.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    + Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, or evaluate military weapons systems

    + Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, and other technical documentation

    + Analyze, design, develop, or evaluate components or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems and associated support systems

    + Develop and edit material for reports, briefs, and related technical publications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an Engineering related discipline, OR, An associate’s degree with related discipline and 7+ years of relevant work experience, OR, a high school diploma and 9+ years of relevant work experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree requirement

    + 3+ years of experience related to Rotary Wing Engineering

    + Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD), preferably SolidWorks

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with MATLAB and/or similar tools

    + Experience with Microsoft Office and Teams applications

    + Rotary Wing and Design course completions

    Security Clearance Requirements:

    + Must have a current/active Secret security clearance

    Physical Requirements:

    + The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

    + Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
