    General Summary

    State Representative Jon Albert is now accepting applications in his Winter Haven, Florida office to assist with a variety of administrative and public relations matters requiring a thorough understanding of the policies, procedures, and operating practices of the Florida Legislature.

    + Constituent Management

    + Day-to-day Operations: Monthly Bills, Office Files, Office Property, Office Supplies, Office Communications

    + Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Reports

    + Intradistrict Travel

    + Municipal, County, and Regional Issues Related to the District

    + Community and Public Outreach

     

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

     

    + Knowledge and application of House Rules, Protocol, House-specific Applications, House Administrative Policies and the Legislature’s Joint Policies and Procedures.

    + Constituent Management

    + Day-to-day Operations: Monthly Bills, Office Files, Office Property, Office Supplies, Office Communications

    + Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Reports

    + Manage Office Expense Accounts and Travel System

    + Required Legislative Filings

    + Municipal, County, and Regional Issues Related to the District

    + Community and Public Outreach

    + Mandatory Trainings as Assigned

    Minimum Qualifications

    An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university and two years of administrative experience; or a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.

     

    Professional administrative experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

    Salary: Annual $46,356

    The Legislature offers a competitive benefits package. This position is not eligible for virtual work.
