Job Description

The ideal Shoe Care Specialist candidate is an owner at heart ; they are motivated, results oriented and committed to providing outstanding customer service.

A day in the life…

+ Perform and complete Shoe Care tasks according to Nordstrom guidelines and service standards.

+ Ensure the shine stand is organized and ready to deliver on customer expectations.

+ Shine shoes; p rovid e consultation on care of shoes and minor repair on shoes.

+ Utilize store technology to answer phones , checkout customers and properly record customer information .

+ Meet department and individual productivity goals.

+ Communicate supply needs in a timely manner to m anager .

+ Maintain accurate records of shoe care transactions   and record tips daily .

+ May flex into other shoe stock and cleaning tasks when needed.

You own this if you have…

+ Basic math, organization, and written communication skills

+ Previous shoeshine experience; preferred minimum 1-2 years

+ Ability to effectively build relationships with customers, peers, and leadership through clear and professional communication .

+ A willingness to learn, and a high level of ownership for personal growth, accountability and initiative .

+ Ability to work independently, with little or no day-to-day direction .

+ The ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs.
