Technical Writer

Key Role:

Writes and edits technical documentation, user manuals and sales and training literature. Applies specific functional knowledge, working or general industry knowledge. Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance, may review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

+ 5+ years of experience as a te chn ical writer

+ Experience recommending and developing a variety of technical documentation based on client needs

+ Knowledge of Micro sof t Office Suite

+ Secret clearance

+ Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

+ Knowledge of DoD requirements for manuals and written materials

+ Knowledge of client delivery process, tradecraft, and intelligence standards

+ Ability to perform reviews and assure the quality of all written deliverables in support of a wide range of customer requirements

+ Ability to ensure the production of clear documents that guide and educate the reader

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
