Description
As part of the Corporate Fleet team, theFleet Supply Management Lead – Fleet Serviceswill oversee our strategic Suppliers to improve the equipment lead times, minimize bottlenecks in the order supply chain and improve the accuracy of information reported into Asplundh. By fostering collaboration and communication, the Fleet S&CM helps to optimize efficiency, enhance product quality, and drive cost savings. This role works with Corporate and Fleet Operations to drive data-driven decision-making, standardize processes and optimize fleet performance and costs. Reporting to the Manager of Fleet Supply & Category Management, the role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, or similar tools. Experience in supply chain management, business management, or business analytics is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Manage and develop relationships with assigned strategic suppliers to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
+ Engage in regular communication with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, delivery schedules, and data quality, addressing any issues that may arise.
+ Oversee specific supplier equipment categories to ensure alignment with supplier contracts, agreements and SLAs.
+ Monitor supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and implement best practices to strengthen supplier partnerships.
+ Conduct regular reviews and audits of supplier practices and processes.
+ Work closely with procurement and other departments to align supplier strategies with organizational goals.
+ Resolve any supplier-related issues or disputes in a timely manner.
+ Analyze market trends and supplier performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
+ Provide training and support to internal teams on supplier management best practices.
Desired Skills and Experience
+ Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
+ Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Experience working in a fleet environment is preferred, but not mandatory.
+ Background in corporate supply chain, business analytics, or fleet management, ideally in a field services or branch-based environment.
+ Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business analytics or business administration.
+ 3-5 years of relevant business experience.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong Excel background and advanced analytics software (such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik).
Travel Requirements:
This position requires travel to the corporate office 4 days a week. Up to 10% travel may be required to Supplier locations.
