    CAH –Nurse Educator– Full Time-Day Shift –7a-3:30p- Requisition 8492

     

    Pay Range: $42.36-$69.89*

     

    The Nurse Educator provides staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader, and researcher. Responsibilities include new employee orientation, annual education, and continuing education as required by regulatory agencies, administrates the online learning management system - Healthstream to include authoring, maintenance, tracking, reports, and course assignment requests. Training Center Coordinator for American Heart Association (AHA), coordination and facilitation of education noontime programs, and involvement with staff simulation. Responsible for staff training relative to the organization's strategic plan, Performance Improvement and Accreditation Agencies. Coordinates student placement for hospital rotations.

    + Director of Staff Development & Occupational Health

    EDUCATION:

    Required:

    + Graduate of an accredited schoool of nursing, current licensure as an RN in New York State

    Preferred:

    + BSN or BS preferred: MSN or MS Desired

    LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

    Required:

    + BLS, ACLS, and PALS Instructor status within one year of position date

    + BLS certification

    TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

    Required:

    + Three (3) years of clinical experience

    + Excellent organizational skills

    + Demonstrated leadership ability

    + Proficiency with Microsoft office

    + Exhibit proficient communication skills and ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a variety of personalities

    + Ability to sustain attention to detail and accuracy as it pertains to the documentation of information

    + Maintaining quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory agencies

    Preferred:

    + Experience in teaching capacity in formalized programs of nursing education
