Overview
The **Associate Media Director, Paid Social** is responsible for developing innovative paid social strategies to meet and exceed client business objectives. You’ll manage client relationships at the highest levels and work to foster long-term relationships with those clients. You’ll also supervise and mentor junior members of the internal team.
This position oversees PAID SOCIAL MEDIA PLANNING AND BUYING and is the point of connection to the client. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO CREATIVE CONTENT OR ORGANIC POSTING IN THIS ROLE.
Responsibilities
+ **RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ A key point of contact for the clients, partners and internal teams.
+ Leading a team of 4+ and steering the team and the client business forward with a clear vision of growth for the team and the client’s business
+ Develop and optimize the overarching paid social media strategies and campaigns for a full funnel client
+ Oversee hands on keyboard, optimization, and reporting for designated team.
+ Work across Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, LI, Reddit, and other emerging social media platforms to oversee the design, build, and manage campaigns.
+ Gauge team objectives, challenges and needs by performing regular assessments.
+ Maintain a comprehensive understanding of client’s social media budgets and program elements – can easily answer questions pertaining to status of account (stage of plan, buys, current workflows, and client billings).
+ Keep current on emerging paid social media trends and provide POVs to internal teams and client
+ Mentor and develop team resources, creating an inspiring and positive environment for clients and all internal team members. Fosters growth and leadership within the direct reports.
+ Leadership in process and technical work for all social elements – i.e. Pixel, CAPI, catalog/feed and QA processes. The AD is responsible for ensuring these components of the business are on track and identifies additional team members to support with hands on keyboard tactical execution.
+ Collaborate with various integrated departments (Account, Project Management, Strategy, Investment, Analytics, Creative)
+ Work with external partners & vendors. Vet recommendations/optimizations, platform and product enhancements, and seek added value opportunities as applicable.
+ Work in alignment with Director and VP to ensure growth standards are met and operating margins are maintained.
+ Facilitate the development and documentation of paid social best practices to improve operational efficiencies within the team and the group.
+ Uncover opportunities and grow business through thought leadership, and client expertise and consistent delivery of good work.
+ Develop, implement maintain training programs to ensure proper employee education and new hire onboarding.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or equivalent field of study.
+ Strong ad tech marketing knowledge and proficiency is required.
+ Extensive experience working with native social media ad platforms (Meta Ad Manager, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit, Pinterest, etc)
+ Master of quality assurance and detail oriented
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to think on your feet, to be creative and talk knowledgeably about social media and its implications on today’s businesses.
+ Proven track record of managing teams with internal and external stakeholders.
+ Ability to move fast, be bold and thrive in a dynamic, quickly changing environment.
+ Advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables and macros).
+ Strong analytics, quantitative and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
+ 5+ years of direct digital or social media experience required; experience working in a social media planning or buying position at an advertising or media agency preferred.

Compensation Range: $95,950 - $116,150 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
