Job Duties Include:

+ Provide non-medical, in-home care and assistance to seniors and disabled adults

+ Hygiene assistance; including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting

+ Perform meal preparation/diet monitoring, including shopping for groceries

+ Assist with medication reminders

+ Light housekeeping and laundry

+ Mobility/transfer assistance

+ Provide client with transportation to errands, appointments, and shopping

Candidate Requirements:

+ A dedication and passion for serving seniors, with a strong sense of responsibility

+ 1+ years of hands-on experience preferred, either in a private home or facility

+ High school / GED

+ Must pass state/nationwide background  check, fingerprinting and drug screen

+ Must have valid Driver’s License, currently lease/own your own vehicle, and provide proof of current auto insurance

+ Ability to transfer patients and provide mobility assistance, including turning immobile patients who are bed-ridden

+ Perform all personal care and hygiene assistance functions as described above

+ Cheerful personality, a positive attitude, and a commitment to focusing on the needs of the client

Visiting Angels is the family alternative to assisted living facilities and nursing homes. Our experienced caregivers provide hourly and live-in care in the comfort of our client’s homes, allowing them to maintain their independence.

Our office serves La Grange, IL and this position may require travel to this area and the surrounding communities.
