Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital seeks a highly skilled and dedicated **Cardiothoracic Surgeon** with 3-5 years of post-training experience to join our exceptional team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care in the treatment of heart and thoracic diseases, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a state-of-the-art facility.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Perform a wide range of cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair/replacement, and thoracic surgeries.

+ Collaborate with cardiologists, pulmonologists, and other specialists to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.

+ Participate in the development of clinical protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs.

+ Engage in patient education, ensuring clear communication about procedures, risks, and post-operative care.

+ Contribute to the education and mentorship of residents and medical students, if applicable.

+ Maintain an active role in community outreach and promoting Houston Methodist’s mission of unparalleled patient care.

Qualifications:

+ Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited institution.

+ Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiothoracic Surgery.

+ Valid Texas medical license (or eligibility to obtain one).

+ 3-5 years of post-fellowship experience in cardiothoracic surgery.

+ Proven expertise in advanced surgical techniques and minimally invasive approaches is preferred.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
