What You Will Do
- JOB SUMMARY
Drive and implement the logistics procurement strategy and standards across the America's region and accountable for delivering targeted results in the logistics category.
- WHAT YOU WILL DO
(This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary by the Company)
+ Lead and drive maximum benefit across Logistics areas of spend for the Company (approximately +60m GBP including Freight, Warehousing and Logistics Enabling Services).
+ Lead transformation across the Company, building and elevating capabilities, properly adapting operating model, and developing talent.
+ Align procurement strategy to the business needs, ensuring effective delivery of benefits through collaboration with markets and local factory teams.
+ Build strong business partnerships with key stakeholders, ensuring that commercial delivery and internal service are equally balanced.
+ Manage relationship with the central procurement team to drive maximum benefit in global and center-led categories.
+ Lead the team responsible for delivering strategic commercial agreements which optimize value for money.
+ Develop and embed the highest standard of procurement practice in line with 1Procurement standard process and policies.
+ Drive Procurement results in Logistics services for the region, maximizing regional benefit and leveraging value of global initiatives, where appropriate.
+ Responsible for delivering commercial agreements which optimize value for spend.
+ Develop market insights and analysis for the major cost elements in the Logistics category and flag potential risks.
+ Build and roll-out the procurement strategy for the Logistics category, focusing on optimization and carbon reduction initiatives.
+ Collaborate on the execution of end-to-end logistics and net zero strategies with key stakeholders.
+ Perform procurement activities in alignment with the Logistics strategy, Company Procurement processes and ways of working.
+ Pro-actively drive and foster a culture of continuous improvement to drive costs down while maintaining quality and service levels required.
+ Identify and manage risks; ensuring that suppliers meet our safety, security and quality requirements and respect our Supplier Code of Conduct. Actively contribute to building business continuity plans.
+ Lead regional RFQs, negotiating and contracting, in conjunction with global logistics and local stakeholders and procurement teams.
+ Ensure compliance of RFx, supplier selection and development tools, such as Supplier Evaluation, Supplier Performance Review, Risk Evaluation and Mitigation, Opportunities, and Innovation.
+ Develop relationships and continually work with key stakeholders ensuring that commercial delivery and internal service are equally balanced
+ Undertake adequate analysis and planning to enable effective supplier negotiations which deliver a complete solution and world class cost base.
+ Responsible for tracking benefits gained, value add, KPI’s and other reports.
+ Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related field of study
+ MBA degree (would be a plus)
+ 7+ years related work experience
+ Indirect categories portfolio (Logistics and Supply Chain services)
+ 3+ yearsmanagement/supervisoryexperience
+ Leading procurement teams in a cross-functional environment
+ Must be 21 years of age or older
Knowledge of:
+ Continuous improvement (SC certification and/or Lean_Six_Sigma)
+ Strategic thinking mindset to engage, influence and change
+ Fostering teamwork and creating a work culture that values collaboration
+ Business acumen, understanding and drive
+ Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams
+ SAP or similar ERP system
+ Procurement spend tools and analytics

- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
+ In the FMCG/CPG sector
Work Environment and Physical Demand
+ Requires light physical effort. Occasionally lifts or moves light weight objects (0-10 lbs.).
+ Walks, sits, or stands for prolonged periods.
+ Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills
+ Requires prolonged machine operation including computer and keyboard equipment.
+ Experience exposure to uncomfortable work environment due to extreme temperature, noise level, and other conditions including second-hand smoke and/or vape
