    Onsite are roles that have specific onsite requirements and are typically onsite daily.

     

    Hybrid fixed are roles that are a blend of onsite work/in-person interactions with some ability to work remotely and require employees to live within a commutable distance and be onsite fixed days each week.

     

    Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.

     

    Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

    Job Summary

    Perform load flow studies using analytical tools to evaluate the reliability of the system. Provide project management and coordination support for capital projects. Conduct studies to develop new and alternate operating procedures.

    Job Responsibilities

    Update PSE&G bulk power one-line print and individual station prints. Participate in engineering studies with PJM and PJM members. Post PSE&G transmission outage schedule on the PJM Open Access Same Time Information System (OASIS) in compliance with FERC approved transmission outage rules. Develop creative switching (system reconfiguration) strategies in coordination with PJM. Provide support to Distribution Planners. Provide technical support to bulk power customers. Develop bumping procedures for initial energization of new equipment. Maintain the WinTRIS Transmission Outage Management System database. Provide network operating limits to PJM. Provide 24x7 callout support. Coordinate operations with the PJM Reliability Engineer. Provide transmission maintenance and construction schedules to PJM in compliance with PJM Transmission Outage Planning procedures.

    Job Specific Qualifications

    • Must have at least 2 years experience with load flow analysis experience, and real time Transmission operational experience.

    • Must have the ability to communicate effectively; exercise independent action, judgment and risk management; act decisively; and interact effectively with all Transmission System stakeholders.

    • Understand and adhere to the Standards of Conduct as described in FERC Order 717, and PJM

     

    Data Confidentiality Agreements.

     

    • Expertise in Transmission, Generation, Distribution Operations, System Relay Protection and/or Station Mechanical Skills.

    • Technical knowledge of Electric Power Systems.

    • Must have PJM Transmission System Operator Certification

    • Must have NERC Transmission System Operator Certification

    • Demonstrated inquisitiveness, decisiveness, positive attitude and teamwork.

    • Must complete mandatory PJM yearly training requirements and Continuing Education Hours

    • Must complete mandatory NERC yearly training requirements and Continuing Education Hours

    • Must be available to respond for emergency and relief assignments.

    • Must foster an inclusive work environment and respects all aspects of diversity

    • Must demonstrate and value differences in others' strengths, diversity, perspectives, approaches, and personal choices

    • Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with PJM to ensure the safety and reliability of the Electric power system.

    • Must ensure that the Electric power system is controlled in a manner which is cost effective.
