As a **Principal Specialist, FP&A** you will join the **Advanced Structures Strategic Business Unit** supporting the **Engineering Polymer Products** division. This position entails creation, review, and analysis of financial data relating to overhead expenses and rates, and their impact on sales and margin.
This position provides the opportunity to gain valuable business level experience and insight into how strategic management decisions impact the performance of the company. You will develop and sustain effective relationships with the program office, functions, and EPP leadership team. This is a great opportunity for someone who displays critical thinking abilities and a desire/eagerness to learn.
You will work onsite at our Blount Island location in Jacksonville FL. The submarine and surface ships within this video highlight the products we have designed and now build in Jacksonville.

What You Will Do:
+ Lead program(s) monthly forecast for bookings, sales, earnings and cash forecast.
+ Report monthly variance analysis of actuals vs. Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and forecast.
+ Lead the development and analysis of the AOP/LRP forecasting cycle, analyze & make recommendations to leadership regarding AOP/LRP metrics.
+ Partner with value stream leaders to prepare monthly Risk and Opportunity position
+ Assist in period-closing activities and facilitate the weekly/monthly cadence.
+ Provide support to balance sheet, overhead, and investment activities
+ Ad-hoc request support in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications You Must Have:
+ Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in finance or accounting; OR an Advanced Degree and 3 years of relevant work experience in finance and accounting
+ Prior experience performing variance analysis
+ Prior experience leading financial forecasts
+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ Knowledge of Rates and burdening process, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and/or Cost or Government Accounting.
+ Prior experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines
+ Experience with MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote.
+ Demonstrated ability in meeting finance goals by setting priorities and working within deadlines.
+ Experience with an ERP system (SAP Preferred) and Onestream.

**Onsite** : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
