    We are looking for a **Foster Care Program Supervisor** to join our NYAP Matteson, IL Team. The person in this role **must** **have their** **Child Welfare Employee License (CWEL)** and have a **master’s degree** in social work or comparable human services field from an accredited institution.

     

    Compensation: Starting salary is $65,000/yr.

     

    Hours: M-F 8am-5pm, some after hour work/rotating on-call.

    Position Summary

    The Foster Care Program Supervisor is responsible for providing supervision and oversight of NYAPs’ Foster Care Program. This position provides a unique opportunity to build statewide foster care services to ensure children and youth have a foster home prepared with the knowledge, skills and supports necessary for safety, permanency and wellbeing. This position is responsible for the development and operation of foster care program services and provides supervision and oversight for program staff. The Program Supervisor is action-oriented and hands-on in developing the foster care program and ensuring NYAP services make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children, youth and families served.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + **Masters’ degree** in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.

    + Child Welfare Employee License (CWEL) **is required.**

    + Program development experience preferred.

    + 2 years of supervisory experience in treatment foster care program operations.

    + A valid professional license as required and acceptable by state or contract regulations.

    + Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a good driving record.

    + A willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours in the service of foster caregivers, families of origin, and persons served.

    + Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.

    + Proficient use of Excel.
