    WSP is currently initiating a search for a **Full Time Assistant Vice President - Enclosures** for our **San Francisco, CA** office.

     

    About the position

     

    At WSP, we are looking for a new team member to help manage and consult on projects within the Building Enclosures team. This is a growing team, nationally, that is on the lookout for talent, teamwork, and fresh ideas to continue helping our clients with their needs and driving our practice forward. We have a high volume of new design consulting, restoration and renewal, building enclosure commissioning, and building science work. The position is for a Full Time Assistant Vice President - Enclosures in WSP’s San Francisco, CA office.

    Your Impact

    + Work will include vertical enclosures and roofing design consulting including design and design review, specifications, design detailing, forensic investigation, and building enclosure commissioning.

    + Manage teams of multiple staff on multiple projects simultaneously, offering technical guidance and coordinating the appropriate technical leads for the project.

    + Business development and client care.

    + Act as the primary point of contact for the client.

    + Manage and guide project teams in completing existing building condition assessments, building enclosure design reviews, providing building enclosure consulting, supporting projects from design through construction and close-out.

    + Review roofing systems and waterproofing as a technical reviewer and complete on-site forensic investigations and functional performance testing of enclosure systems.

    + Assist with writing proposals and working with internal marketing to develop qualifications packages for pursuits.

     

    Who You Are

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Science, Construction Management, or closely related discipline.

    + 10+ years of relevant post-education experience in discipline with prior enclosures, façade design, and sustainability experience.

    + 5 to 7+ years of experience in Building Enclosures / Construction / Architecture minimum.

    + 3+ years as a person directly involved in the design, construction, fabrication and/or inspection of various horizontal and vertical enclosures systems.

    + 3+ years as a person directly involved with managing building enclosure projects.

    + Experience in quality control and management.

    + Growing knowledge in all manners of building construction.

    + Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and external professional and industry groups.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

    + Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Master's Degree is preferred in one of the above-listed disciplines.

    + Familiarity/proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and other technical drafting software.

    + PE / RA in the state of CA

    Compensation:

    Expected Salary (all locations): $133,000 - $187,000

     

    WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
