Collaborate with and become among the nation’s best in the delivery and management of Bus Rapid Transit projects, helping create solutions that meet our clients’ objectives and solve their challenges.     WSP is currently initiating a search for a **Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project Engineer** for our **Charleston, SC office** .

    Your Impact

    + Act as a designer on Bus Rapid Transit projects at all phases, from concept to construction.

    + Provide technical support and Project Management on small medium to medium projects or tasks with opportunity to grow, including contract negotiation and managing to a scope, schedule, and budget.

    + Support larger projects as a Deputy Project Manager, Task Manager, Segment Manager or discipline expert.

    + Aid local offices pursuing or delivering transit projects with technical expertise, including opportunities to travel.

    + Demonstrate your skills to the industry through conference presentations and paper publication.

    + Assist in growing the business by building relationships, writing marketing proposals and providing other business development support.

    + Management of technical staff.

     

    Who You Are

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline.

    + P.E. License with 7 to 10 years of experience in Bus Rapid Transit projects or equivalent.

    + Experience working with transit agencies and transportation department. Direct experience with MARTA and GDOT a plus.

    + Demonstrated organizational and communications skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Master’s Degree in Engineering.

    + 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120) preferred.

    + Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired.
