Performs administrative duties for executive leadership team including putting together and coordinating presentations, internal associate and smaller client event planning, travel and meeting arrangements, preparing reports, completing expense reports, managing calendars, management of supplies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepare attractive, full-featured PowerPoints for executive presentations and assist in the consolidation of large presentations for internal meetings.
2. Manage multiple conflicting priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
3. Coordinate all aspects of internal events including some smaller external client events
4. Make travel and meeting arrangements.
5. Prepare reports and financial data, from raw data if necessary.
6. Function as initial, basic technical support.
7. Prepare meeting agendas, provide support materials, and arrange meeting facilities.
8. Update and oversee delegated tasks to ensure progress to deadlines.
9. Keep projects on schedule and handle administrative details for all projects.
10. Check deadlines on incoming requests and put preliminary work in play (engaging key resources, coordinating communication, etc.).
11. Research, draft, and abstract reports.
12. Handle phone inquiries as appropriate to knowledge level.
13. Assist in achieving department goals.
14. Order and maintain supplies for the Lincoln office.
15. Assist in general needs of the NBS offices and engage with the Nelnet facilities team as necessary.
EDUCATION:
Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
1. 4 years of experience in an Administrative role.
2. Experience extracting data from various sources to generate reports.
3. Project coordination experience.
4. Experience and ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
5. Experience conducting research and using advanced skills within computer applications.
COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
1. Strong level of computer skills with high level of competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
2. Managing multiple priorities from several people.
3. Accuracy/attention to detail.
4. Extremely well organized.
5. Exceptional Time Management Skills.
6. Diligent with follow up and follow through on tasks.
7. Project Coordination.
8. Excellent written communication skills.
9. Familiarity with general IT terms and concepts.
10. Familiarity with at least one tool used to extract raw data from various backend systems (SQL, programming or reporting language, reporting tool, etc.)
11. Ability to remain flexible and adjust to change as needed (including adjusted deadlines).
12. Excellent Verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation range for this role is $19.62 to $36.88, depending on experience.
