Lockheed Martin Space in Littleton, CO seeks a leader for IRAD and CRAD development within the MWTD Strategy and Mission Engagement Mission area\. We are driven by innovation and integrity\. In this role you will focus on building a portfolio of internal research and development projects, external partnerships with customers and you will provide the vision, leadership, and insights to foster new thinking for what technology, business relationships, competitive advantages, and capabilities can be applied in the missile warning, tracking and defense mission area\.
Specific responsibilities will include:
• Analyze, develop, and market LM missile warning, tracking and defense IRAD, CRAD and demo initiatives to garner internal LM funding and external customer support/funding
• Create presentations to optimally communicate IRAD/CRAD campaign strategies to all levels of the organization including Executive VPs, LOB VPs, and Functional Directors
• Link LM internal IRAD, CRAD and demo initiatives to current or future programs in the missile warning, tracking and defense area
• Foster and maintain customer relationships across the missile warning, tracking and defense area, and regularly collaborate with them to promote new business; this will involve significant travel
• Write, rewrite and/or edit proposals and other technical customer marketing material
Our level 6 employees typically have 20\+ years of experience\.
This a full time telework position that will require up to 50% travel\.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field from an accredited university\.
• Experience in missile warning, tracking or defense operations or acquisitions, or related field
• Demonstrated ability to interact, influence, and communicate with internal LM executive staff and external senior customers during formal reviews, as well as via informal communications
• Experience speaking publicly to and engaging with executives on critical, complex and time\-sensitive issues
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
• Must have an _active_ Top\-Secret/SCI security clearance
Desired Skills:
• 20\+ years of prior USG experience in missile warning, tracking or defense operations or acquisitions, or related field
• Familiarity with the missile warning, tracking and defense associated customers / stakeholders
• Strong customer knowledge and relationships in multiple customer sets, especially the USSF and USG labs
• Demonstrated ability to develop internal research and development business cases and to promote those cases with external customers
• Knowledge of LM Space missile warning, tracking and defense programs
• Ability to solve complex problems with teamwork and ingenuity

**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** 9x80 every other Friday off
**Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $173,900 \- $301,415\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as \(but not limited to\) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer\.

**Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 \- $266,570\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as \(but not limited to\) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer\.

\(Washington state applicants only\) Non\-represented full\-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off \(PTO\) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays\. Represented full time employees accrue 6\.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays\. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year\.
