How you make a difference
Systems Administrator – Keeping Our Technology Running Smoothly and Securely
Are you a problem-solver who thrives behind the scenes making sure systems just work? As our **Systems Administrator** , you’ll be the backbone of our IT infrastructure—responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing the technology environment that powers our entire organization.
From managing servers and troubleshooting issues to ensuring uptime and enhancing performance, this role is key to delivering a seamless, secure, and efficient experience for users. If you're passionate about system stability, proactive problem-solving, and continuous improvement, this is your chance to make a direct impact every day.
Key Responsibilities
+ **Monitor, maintain, and support servers, networks, and critical IT infrastructure** to ensure high availability and performance.
+ **Administer enterprise applications** such as Active Directory, Office 365, and Exchange, supporting secure and reliable access.
+ **Manage and optimize virtualized environments** (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) to improve system efficiency and scalability.
+ **Oversee cloud infrastructure services** (Azure, AWS), including provisioning, security configuration, and cost control.
+ **Implement and monitor IT security measures** to safeguard systems, data, and network access from threats and vulnerabilities.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
+ Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
Experience:
+ Required: Three (3) years of experience managing Windows and Linux-based systems.
+ Required: Proficiency with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
+ Required: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
+ Required: Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and cybersecurity principles.
+ Preferred: Familiarity with patching and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate tasks and processes.
+ Preferred: Experience supporting backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
+ Preferred: Strong troubleshooting abilities across hardware, software, and networking layers.
+ Preferred: Previous experience working in ITIL-based environments.
Licenses/Certifications:
+ Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Security+, or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
