Koniag Emerging Technologies, LLC is seeking an energetic and knowledgeable Instructor/Trainer I to deliver high-quality training on Microsoft Office products, collaboration tools, and other commercial software applications. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong teaching abilities to provide effective instruction to adult learners. This position offers the opportunity to work with diverse groups and contribute to the development of training materials.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:
The Instructor/Trainer I will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective software training sessions while ensuring optimal learning experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
+ Conduct training sessions on Microsoft Office products, collaboration tools, and other COTS software
+ Support the development and customization of training materials
+ Prepare and manage training environment, including equipment setup and functionality checks
+ Perform equipment troubleshooting and resolve technical issues
+ Test new software products and provide feedback for training material development
+ Ensure availability and organization of all training materials
+ Maintain current knowledge of software updates and features
+ Document and report training activities and outcomes
+ Provide user-perspective feedback on training requirements and materials
Education and Experience:
Required:
+ Associate's degree in related field OR
+ Four years of relevant adult training experience (may substitute for education requirement)
+ Demonstrated experience in software training delivery
+ Proven track record of successful adult instruction
Required Skills and Competencies:
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and common collaboration tools
+ Strong classroom management and presentation skills
+ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
+ Basic technical troubleshooting capabilities
+ Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
+ Experience with adult learning principles
+ Strong organizational and time management skills
+ Ability to adapt teaching style to different learning needs
+ Basic knowledge of training equipment and technology
+ Professional demeanor and positive attitude
+ Patient and clear communication style
Desired Skills and Competencies:
+ Bachelor's degree in related field
+ Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification
+ Experience with virtual training delivery
+ Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS)
+ Experience in government or corporate training environments
+ Familiarity with training material development
+ Basic instructional design knowledge
+ Experience with hands-on software instruction
+ Bilingual capabilities
+ Experience with student assessment and feedback collection
+ Knowledge of 508 compliance requirements
+ Experience with different training methodologies (classroom, virtual, self-paced)
