BayCare is currently in search of our newest Team Member who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. We are looking for an individual seeking a career opportunity with one of the largest employers within the Tampa Bay area.

Position Details:

+ **Location:** Remote (after two weeks of onsite training listed below)

+ **Status:** Full-time

+ **Shift:** 8:00am - 6:30pm (4 10-hour shifts)

+ **Days:** Monday through Friday /Every other Saturday

This Financial Assistance Specialist opportunity is a full-time remote position. Team members must reside in Florida.

This role requires onsite training in Tampa, Plant City, and Clearwater for 10 business days. The schedule is M-W 8:00AM-4:30PM / TH-FR 8:30AM - 5:00PM (after training, the team member will work the hours listed above).

Responsibilities:

The Financial Assistance Specialist is responsible for identifying ER patients thru bedside assessment and interview who may be eligible for financial and social assistance from community agencies. May act as a liaison between the patient and community agencies. The Financial Assistance Specialist must be able to clearly documents all activities.

Education

+ Required High School or equivalent

Experience

+ Required 3 years Healthcare customer service (Medical Office Receptionist, Registrar, Patient Access) or Social Services with High School Diploma

+ OR 1 year Healthcare customer service or Social Services with an Associate's Degree

+ Preferred knowledge of community resources for unfunded/ underfunded patients
