    TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-Time; 12-Month Position

     

    STARTING DATE: July 1, 2025

     

    SALARY RANGE:Salary Is Dependent Upon Experience and Contract.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Programs (ASI) is a Cabinet level position that reports to the Monroe One BOCES District Superintendent. The ASI is responsible for oversight of all instructional programs and departments including career and technical education, special education, related services and regional supports and services. The ASI leads in the development of school partnerships, aids in the planning, development, and implementation of programs and services aligned to education policies, regulations, and guidelines. The ASI supervises principals, coordinators and directors of Monroe One BOCES instructional programs and departments.

    Key Functions:

    + Provides collaborative oversight to align the mission and vision of the organization to practice through strategic planning, development, implementation and maintenance of Monroe One BOCES instructional programs and departments to ensure timely access to high quality programming and services.

    + Maintains a high level of communication and collaboration to effectively plan, organize, direct and provide leadership to all Monroe One BOCES career and technical education, special education, related service and regional instruction support programs and services.

    + Leads in the development of district, community and business partnerships to support the advancement of Monroe One BOCES instructional programs.

    + Collaborates with the members of the District Superintendent’s Cabinet on all aspects of delivering instructional programs and services, including the Assistant Superintendent of Finance & Operations to oversee, coordinate and monitor the program budgets and fiscal planning for all Monroe One BOCES instructional programs and services.

    + Leads continuous program development and improvement efforts to ensure curriculum alignment to NYS learning standards, implementation of instructional best practices and staff access to high quality professional development.

    + Provides and prepares materials and information for the District Superintendent, Cabinet, Board of Education, program administrators, supervisors and district partners requesting and/or participating in services.

    + Maintains a culture of success in Monroe One BOCES instructional programs and departments through regular evaluations of personnel, opportunities to advance professional practice and ongoing collaborative frameworks.

    + Performs other duties as directed by the District Superintendent.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. NYS Certified administrator with Masters in Education and/or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with School District Administrator (SDA) Certification, School District Leader (SDL) Certification, or School Administrator Certification (new 2025 certification).

    2. Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.

    3. At least five years prior successful administrative experience as a school administrator required.

    4. Three years of prior successful administrative experience as a central office/district office level school administrator preferred.

    5. District office experience with design of district wide special education programs preferred.

    6. Knowledge and experience regarding BOCES career and technical education, special education and regional instructional support programs, services and operations preferred.

    8. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
