    Position Summary:

    The VP of Markets will be responsible for developing a retail strategy, driving revenue growth, maintaining high customer service standards, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for all passengers, through dynamic product assortment planning, effective visual merchandising and highly engaged crew members. This leadership role involves managing a diverse team, optimizing operational processes, and collaborating with key stakeholders to maximize profitability while upholding the company’s values and goals.

     

    Salary:$170k-$200k + Bonus Eligibility

    Responsibilities:

    + Lead our brand and customer experience by increasing product sales through assortment selection, promotional planning, and product placement.

    + Drive sales growth by analyzing market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity. Implement strategies to increase revenue and enhance the product offering in alignment with customer demand.

    + Ensure excellent customer service by setting clear standards, resolving complaints, and implementing best practices. Regularly monitor customer feedback and make improvements where necessary.

    + Oversee inventory management to ensure accurate stock levels, reduce shrinkage, and avoid out-of-stock situations. Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure timely product delivery and availability.

    + Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for retail operations, including sales performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Prepare regular reports for senior management.

    + Assist in the development and management of budgets for retail locations. Monitor financial performance, ensuring profitability while maintaining high operational standards.

    + Work closely with airport authorities, other retailers, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth operations and adherence to airport regulations and policies.

    + Ensure all retail locations comply with safety, health, and security standards. Regularly review operational practices to minimize risks and ensure the safety of employees and customers.

    + Conduct market analysis both nationally and locally to ensure product lines are represented in all markets.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in business, Retail Management, Hospitality, or a related field. MBA preferred.

    + 8-10 years of related experience in in retail management, with at least 4 years in a leadership position, ideally within a large retail organization or CPG industry.

    + Knowledge of supply chain, inventory management and finance.

    + Experience with managing large and intricate projects, leading cross-functional projects, and teams.

    + Excellent organizational skills and time management skills.

    + Merchandising and visual display skills preferred, knowledge of schematics and floorplans, ability to develop and build from scratch.

    + Background in promotional activity and contract negotiations, superior negotiation skills.

    + Strong Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel (can perform complex functions).

    + Ability to travel as needed (30%+).

    + Proven track record of driving sales, optimizing retail operations, and managing a high-performing team.

    + Strong leadership, communication, and people skills.

    + An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make decisions under pressure.

    + Knowledge of airport retail operations and familiarity with airport security and safety regulations is a plus.

    + Strong analytical skills with a focus on performance metrics and fiscal management.

    + Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, in line with airport operations.
