Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilledElectrical Managerto lead and oversee all electrical aspects of residential solar installation projects. This individual will be responsible for managing licensed electricians and electrical crews, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local jurisdiction requirements, and company standards. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in electrical systems, team leadership, and a commitment to operational excellence in the renewable energy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead and manage the electrical division of residential solar installations, including supervising licensed electricians and apprentices.
+ Ensure all electrical work is performed according to NEC, local codes, utility standards, and company guidelines.
+ Schedule and assign electrical resources to solar projects, optimizing workforce efficiency and project timelines.
+ Perform quality checks and safety inspections on electrical work; ensure all necessary corrections are made promptly.
+ Collaborate with project managers, site assessors, and permitting teams to ensure readiness and compliance prior to installation.
+ Support the recruitment, training, and development of electrical personnel.
+ Review electrical plans and provide technical guidance or redesign recommendations as needed.
+ Coordinate and support inspections with AHJs and utility providers; ensure timely sign-off and approvals.
+ Monitor job progress and documentation to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
+ Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the electrical team.
Qualifications:
+ Active Journeyman or Master Electrician license required (state-specific).
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in residential electrical work, with at least 2 years in solar PV installations.
+ Demonstrated experience leading and managing electrical crews.
+ Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA safety standards, and local code requirements.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical plans, schematics, and specifications.
+ Effective communication skills with the ability to lead and mentor team members.
+ Familiarity with CRM or project management platforms is a plus.
+ Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
