    Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Medical Technologist, for our Infusion Center in Enfield, CT and our Rapid Response Lab at Johnson Memorial Hospital.

     

    Our vision is to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to those within our local communities, creating a positive impact for each individual that walks through our doors. This person is responsible for providing highly skilled analysis of blood, fluids, and tissue samples.

    What you will do:

    + Work alternates between the Infusion Center in Enfield and Rapid Response Lab at Johnson Memorial Hospital

    + Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices.

    + Analyzes blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques and procedures

    + Ensures operation of analyzers and all laboratory equipment by calibrating; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

    Position Hours:

    + 40 hours, Day Shifts, e/o weekend and rotating holidays

    _What you need:_

    + **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology from a accredited college/university and successful completion of NAACLS accredited MT program or MLT certification program.

    + **Certification:** MT-ASCP or equivalent level certification offered by one of the professional societies. Or must be eligible to take Certification exam and achieve certification within the first year of employment.

    + **Experience** : Hematology experience is required, Cancer Center experience, highly preferred.
