Responsibilities
**UES is seeking an experienced CMT or Geotechnical engineer** to lead and support our Tucson, AZ office. The Branch Manager will provide leadership while executing technical and administrative responsibilities for a small engineering consulting office such as day to day operations, P/L management, people management, and client relationships. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Projects a positive image of the Company and colleagues at client negotiations, conferences, technical meetings, and within the office
+ Signs letters, proposals, and reports bearing professional stamp (if applicable) and assumes responsibility in the name of the Company
+ Responsible for work assigned to the Branch regarding professional liability and contractual obligations. All technical work must be conducted so that the standard of care is met
+ Provides guidance, training, and instruction to subordinates in regulatory, technical, and administrative aspects of environmental, geotechnical, or construction materials testing consulting
+ Responsible for project financials, proposals, and resource allocation/utilization
+ Leads people management, career development, and overall office culture in accordance with UES vision.
+ Directs the execution of business development efforts, Pursue new business opportunities through networking, proposals, and client relationships. Plans Branch strategy in conjunction with Group Managers to meet Company goals
+ Manage branch budgets, forecasts, hiring, and staff development.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related degree required.
+ 8+ years of experience in consulting engineering roles involving Geotechnical or CMT projects
Preferred Experience:
+ Professional Engineering License preferred
+ Must have thorough knowledge and experience in geotechnical engineering or Materials Testing services consulting business
+ Consulting Engineering business acumen including P/L responsibilities
+ Active membership in professional and civic organizations
