Primary Purpose
This position will be responsible for wholesale market design and rules in the PJM Regional Transmission Organization
(RTO) and also for Exelon’s engagement and strategy with the U.S. Department of Energy. The position will create value
by support the development of preferred market design policy objectives and support the execution of those objectives
within the PJM RTO. The director will promote Exelon’s policies through interaction with senior PJM RTO officials, U.S.
DOE leadership and staff, trade associations, and ad-hoc coalitions. The director will work coordinate market design
policy with various groups across Exelon, including the operating companies.

Lead Exelon’s RTO Strategy on Energy Markets
• Lead the development of the overarching framework and associated objectives for market
design policy, programs, advocacy, and strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate with the Director, RTO Relations and Strategy, who leads Exelon’s RTO strategy
on transmission issues.
• Represent and advance Exelon’s policy objectives in external forums, coalitions, and
organizations.
• Track issues and ensure that key internal personnel across Exelon are aware of PJM
markets and operations rule development and contribute to required regulatory filings.
• Support development and implementation of a comprehensive approach to RTO/ISO
regulatory and ratemaking initiatives in PJM.
• Contribute to building and maintaining strong relationships with RTO members, officials,
trade associations, and stakeholder groups.
• Contribute to ensuring cross-functional alignment on policy and strategy across Exelon to
support advocacy objectives.
• Assist in administering and maintaining Exelon’s membership status with RTOs, including in
PJM for all six Exelon Operating Companies as well as Exelon BSC.
Lead Federal Affairs Activities with U.S. Department of Energy
• Coordinate the company’s strategy and presence at the U.S. Department of Energy.
• Develop and maintain valued connections with key leadership and staff at the U.S.
Department of Energy to shape policy and federal funding and financing opportunities.
• Coordinate with the Director, Transportation and Federal Partnerships, who leads Exelon’s
federal funding and financing strategy.
• Engage externally – at conferences, industry forums, etc. – to display Exelon’s thought
leadership on energy markets, resource adequacy, and transmission, where appropriate.
• Track issues and ensure that key internal personnel across Exelon are aware of the
Department of Energy’s priorities and initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• 12 years of experience with electric utilities, federal agencies, or RTO/ISO markets. • Strong understanding of energy
industry, PJM, and regulatory concepts. • Ability to rapidly process complex information and identify and communicate
salient aspects. • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with individuals at all levels throughout the organization.

• Advanced degree in business, economics, policy, law, or related field. • Experience working for PJM or a federal agency.
• Experience working with external stakeholder groups and building coalitions.

+ Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $187,200.00/Yr. – $257,400.00/Yr. plus an additional $50K in Long Term Incentive Plan annually
