Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

+ Carefully checks each test requisition for validity, duplication, medical record number and proper charges.

+ Proficient with performing patient testing.

+ Maintains test equipment with proper cleaning and supplies.

+ Strives to understand the patient needs and responds accordingly.

+ Records all EKG requests and procedures in a work logbook; with accurate attention to the test, date, time , patient and other pertinent information.

+ Files records accurately.

+ Verifies accuracy of computer charges.

+ Responds to changes in schedule as necessary; continually plans time well; responds to stat orders and codes immediately.

+ Explains to the patient the procedure about to be performed and the purpose of the test; consistently relaxes the patient before the test to ensure proper results; never submits and inappropriate tracing.

What qualifications you will need:

+ High School Graduate / GED

+ Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

+ EKG Certification
