Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled QC Microbiologist to join our quality control team. This role is critical in ensuring that our pharmaceutical products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on laboratory experience in microbiological testing, along with a strong commitment to precision and compliance.

Shift: Weds-Sat 4x10s 7:30am - 5pm

Key Responsibilities:

Microbiological Testing:

Conduct cell culture work, including growing and fermenting cultures to support product testing.

Perform stability and release testing to ensure products adhere to quality standards.

Product and Process Evaluation:

Execute purity testing, assessing sample viability and suitability for growth.

Streak plates and isolate colonies to determine microbial profiles and confirm product quality.

Media and Test Preparation:

Prepare and manage culture media and reagents essential for testing procedures.

Execute bioburden testing and water testing to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Data Management and Reporting:

Accurately document test results and maintain detailed records in accordance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing insights and support on microbiological quality issues.

Skills and Requirements

Applicant must have bachelors degree in with 3+ years of relevant experience

Experience with testing in the lab (cell culture, growing and fermenting cultures), stability and release testing

- Experience with purity testing, viability, suitability of growth, streaking and isolating colonies, media making, Bioburden, water testing (do not have to have all of these but at least several)

Experience in QC or R&D GMP laboratory within pharma

Experience / Knowledge of LIMS, PDOCS, gQTS, eQMS null
