Job Descriptions:

Belpre Skilled Nursing is seeking an experienced, dedicated RN MDS Nurse to fill a vital role at their facility. We are seeking individuals who have previous experience as an RN MDS Nurse in a long-term care setting.

+ Responsible for the completion and accuracy of MDS and the CAA summary sheet.

+ Responsible for MDS scheduling.

+ Responsible for the initial, quarterly and yearly MDS reviews and those done to reflect a major change in the Resident’s status when a significant change appears.

+ Responsible for reviewing Medicare and Medicaid required documentation.

+ Responsible for Medicare and Managed Care determination and ongoing documentation of same including communication with insurance companies.

+ Responsible for providing required documentation to insurance/managed care companies used to justify approval of continuing skilled care services.

Required Experience:

+ Review residents admitted and compare physician orders with each resident’s plan of care to assure appropriate implementation of the physician’s plan of care*

+ Schedule routine MDS assessments (initial, quarterly, annual) to maintain compliance with regulatory time frames*

+ Schedule ARD for all routine MDS assessments, following the most current RAI User Manual instructions, with input from the Interdisciplinary Team*

+ Schedule change in status assessments as instructed*

+ Complete Re-entry and Discharge tracking MDS within 7 days of the event.

Candidates must be a Registered Ohio RN with previous MDS experience. Familiarity with Restorative programming and coding, at minimum ICD-9 is also required.
