Job Description

A client of Insight Global's is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join their team. This team's current project is taking their monolith environment and breaking it into smaller microservices. 60 -70% percent of this candidate's time will be dedicated to coding and 20 -40% leading teams. Ideally, we are looking for a strong Senior Java Developer who comes from a mid-size to enterprise level company working with highly available or scalable systems. The candidates needs to be highly proficient in developing and maintain spring boot applications using Java as well as, building applications from scratch. The ideal candidates is able to work in an adaptable environment as this team is working on new applications. This is a hybrid position in Reading, PA or Tampa, FL and requires Tuesdays and Wednesdays on-site.

Skills and Requirements

• 6+ years of Java Development experience in a mid-size to enterprise level company working with highly available or scalable systems

• Experience with application modernizations and moving from a monolithic environment and breaking it into smaller microservices

• Highly proficient in develop and maintain Spring boot applications using Java

• Framework: Spring boot

• Languages: Java

• FE: Angular or React

• Database: Mongo

• Experience building an application from scratch

Lead experience or open to mentorship · Interviewing experience for new hires

• Knowledge of industry

• Kafka

• Kubernetes null
