    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a Product Safety Certification Engineer candidate with 4+ years of experience to join a manufacturing and renewable energy company in East Hartford, CT that specializes in Hydrogen Fuel cells. This candidate would be going on site to make sure the equipment is following standards, then they would present their compliant status to certify the product and the project. They would work with certification bodies and make sure the designs are compliant for US markets.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 4+ years of experience as a Product Safety Certification Engineer with a bachelor's degree

     

    - Working comprehension of mechanical/electrical/chemical engineering, ignition/combustion, materials, piping/tubing, safety, and power electronics.

     

    Knowledge/experience with ANSI/CSA Americas, ISO, SAE, IEC. Pressure Equipment Directive standards is highly desirable - Knowledge of Intertek, SGS, UL, TUV

     

    - Extensive knowledge of CSA, CE, ANSI, EMC, ATEX and Asian standards/requirements

    Has worked with the FC 1 certification null
