    Senior Software Engineer

     

    The Senior Software Engineer will serve as a technical lead in the design, development, deployment, and support of enterprise applications for mission-critical government systems.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable applications using Java 8 (J2EE), Spring Boot, and React.

    + Lead database development and optimization efforts using Oracle and PostgreSQL.

    + Build and maintain RESTful Web Services and integrate with AWS-hosted infrastructure.

    + Develop dynamic, accessible user interfaces using JavaScript, AJAX, and React.

    + Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams using Jira and Confluence.

    + Ensure application uptime and support 24/7 enterprise availability environments.

    + Leverage DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (Git, Maven, Jenkins) for continuous integration and delivery.

    + Serve as a mentor to junior developers and contribute to system architecture decisions.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    + U.S. Citizenship with Top Secret / SCI eligibility

    + Effective communication and documentation skills across technical and business audiences

    + Strong development experience (8+ years) with:

    + Java 8 (J2EE), Spring Framework 5+, Spring Boot 2

    + JavaScript/AJAX, React, HTML, CSS

    + Hibernate 5+, RESTful Web Services

    + SQL/RDBMS – Oracle and PostgreSQL

    + Apache Tomcat, Red Hat JBoss

    + Linux (RHEL, CentOS), Eclipse IDE, Maven, Git

    + 8+ years of database development and optimization in Oracle/PostgreSQL

    + 8+ years of experience developing rich UI applications and troubleshooting enterprise systems

    + 5+ years of hands-on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, EBS, AMIs, IaaS)

    + 5+ years working in Agile Scrum or Kanban environments

    + Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and CI/CD automation tools

    + Demonstrated ability to deliver secure, high-performance solutions in enterprise environments
