    An Engineering Project Coordinator position is available with our client based in Alameda, CA. In this role you will Work closely with cross functional teams to provide detailed planning and scheduling of projects from conceptual planning through engineering and construction. To be considered for this role, you will have a High School Diploma or GED (Associate or Degree preferred) 5+ years of experience scheduling $2M+ Construction projects for an EPC(Engineering, Procurement, Construction company). Must be a US Citizen.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    * Work closely with cross functional teams to provide detailed planning and scheduling of projects from conceptual planning through engineering and construction

    * Develop schedules, including lists of activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long lead procurement items and other critical project deliverables to be scheduled and tracked for the projects

    * Develop schedule logic and constraints, realistic activity durations, and available resources

    * Assess the impact of design changes and schedule slippages. Inform company management and clients of all schedule updates

    * Apply knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction terminology, and concepts to develop and maintain critical path logic networks

    * Accumulate and access historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting

    * Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult project control problems

    * May interface with internal clients and exterior vendors, attend regular meetings, and give statistical reports

    * Prepares and maintains project plans

    * Performs administrative tasks such as preparing progress reports and arranging meetings

    * Communicates with clients, and tracks project progress

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    * High school diploma or general education degree with construction project scheduling experience for an EPC firm

    * Associates or Bachelors in an Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field is preferred

    * 5+ years of experience in scheduling $2M+ Construction Projects

    * 2+ years of direct scheduling experience required in critical path management with a demonstrated history of successful schedule compression and mitigation efforts

    * ​​Ability to read engineering drawings

    * Strong Organizational skills

    *Cross-functional exposure to mechanical design, electrical and civil engineering disciplines

    * Technical skills and ability to use software like Autodesk and MS Project

    * Ability to flag issues and route to the appropriate teams​

    * Excellent written and verbal communication presentation skills are a must

    * Working knowledge of standard cost control methods utilized in execution of various types of projects (EPC, Construction Management, Design Build, Time and Material, and Maintenance)

    * Experienced with project management tools/software (i.e. Smartsheet, MS Project, Autodesk Construction Cloud), methodologies and frameworks.

    * Advanced analytical skills to interpret and utilize data for decision making

    * Ability to work with highly collaborative team

    * Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently

    * Prioritizes and ensures safety of one self and others

    * Ability to proactively collect, manage and transfer knowledge

    * Ability to seek different and novel ways to create efficiencies when working on problems, challenges and issues
